Our Students

Appropriate candidates are adolescents ages 13 to 18 that have completed a therapeutic wilderness program. Although their manifestations may be different, most often the underlying issues are quite similar:

  • Depressed or emotionally troubled
  • Experiencing low self-esteem
  • Rebellious, angry, defiant
  • Choosing the wrong friends
  • Struggling with attachment disorders
  • Impulsive or hyperactive
  • Poor academic achievement
  • Abusing alcohol or drugs

Adolescents that enroll in Santiam Crossing School are adolescents that have gotten off track and need guidance and structure to help them make better choices. We do not accept seriously delinquent or violent adolescents.
